Effective Teaching Reflections

I think that one of the characteristics of a highly effective teacher that resonated with me in today's class, was that ability to maintain a balance in our emotions, which implies recognizing them, knowing that they are there but not ignoring them and in a certain way controlling the way How we react to them. We must remember that above all we are humans who are modeling a profile of values that we consider necessary for general well-being and therefore we must learn to self-regulate since it is something very important that our students must learn during their time at school, since It will serve them well into their adult life.

On the other hand, I recognized that my teaching philosophy is more aligned with the social part of education and the way in which this is a means of emancipation for citizens, perhaps this is a product of the authors I have read in recent years. who have a deeply materialistic thought. However, I also recognize that there are other equally important objectives such as the quantifiable metrics that are needed for students to enter the university, therefore there is still a rationalist academic reality that we must address, although at the same time we can point out as institution to other horizons such as the potentialization of individual talents and the recognition of the multiple intelligences that exist in the school.
